Local students at South Dakota State University in Brookings who made the Spring 2025 dean’s list include: Carsyn Farlee of Dupree, A.J. Lindskov of Isabel, Sawyer Holzer of Timber Lake, and Shay Kraft of Timber Lake.

North Dakota State University Spring 2025 dean’s list

Code Bry Ann Enright of Timber Lake, who is studying veterinary technology, made the dean’s list at North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND.Students must earn a 3.50 grade point average or higher and be enrolled in at least 12 class credits to qualify.

Jaylynn Farlee chosen for Sutton leadership program

An Eagle Butte woman is one of 17 people selected to attend the Billie Sutton Leadership Institute and Rural POWER program.Jaylynn Farlee and other selections gathered recently in Oacoma for a kick-off training seminar, marking the start of the year-long leadership development program.

Isabel board rejects proposed bid for community center HVAC

The Isabel Board of Trustees last week rejected a proposal from a Caputa company to upgrade the heating and cooling system in the community center, saying the bid was much too high.Initial estimates from Sichmeller Engineering of Aberdeen put the project cost between $350,000 and $500,000.

School board handles more personnel matters

The Timber Lake School Board last week finalized the results of the June 3 election and dealt with a number of personnel matters, which is typical during summer break.The election canvass showed just 333 or 28.
