North Dakota State University Spring 2025 dean’s list

Code Bry Ann Enright of Timber Lake, who is studying veterinary technology, made the dean’s list at North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND.Students must earn a 3.50 grade point average or higher and be enrolled in at least 12 class credits to qualify.

Abigail Linderman awarded a fullride Build Dakota Scholarship

Abigail Linderman, daughter of Jan and Deb Linderman of Timber Lake, has been awarded a full-ride Build Dakota Scholarship at Southeast Technical College in Sioux Falls.

An Eagle Butte woman is one of 17 people selected to attend the Billie Sutton Leadership Institute and Rural POWER program.Jaylynn Farlee and other selections gathered recently in Oacoma for a kick-off training seminar, marking the start of the year-long leadership development program.

Isabel board rejects proposed bid for community center HVAC

The Isabel Board of Trustees last week rejected a proposal from a Caputa company to upgrade the heating and cooling system in the community center, saying the bid was much too high.Initial estimates from Sichmeller Engineering of Aberdeen put the project cost between $350,000 and $500,000.

Pioneer Days party set June 26-29 in Dupree

The community of Dupree is gearing up for its annual Pioneer Days celebration, which will be held Thursday through Sunday, June 26-29.This year’s event will have something for everyone - from a card tournament and bingo to rodeo - including the annual Little Miss Pioneer Days Pageant and more.
