Moreau-Grand Electric Cooperative returns $500,000 credits to members

At their July meeting the Moreau-Grand Electric Co-op board of directors approved the return of $500,000 worth of capital credits to its members. If members examine the bill they received the first week in December, they will see capital credits at work in the form of a credit. Capital credits are a return on each member’s investment in the cooperative.

The SD Beef Industry Council (SDBIC) looks to give back this holiday season as it launches a new statewide campaign. The “BEEF is there for YOU” campaign focuses on the role beef plays in households across the state and will offer opportunities for consumers to win big with BEEF as it kicks off the first week of December with a variety of retail and social media giveaways.

District 28 legislators weigh in on lawsuit over marijuana

A lawsuit filed by two law enforcement officers questioning the legality of cannabis legislation approved by South Dakotans in the November general election has gained the support of Gov. Kristi Noem. She says voters made the “wrong decision” in legalizing the drug and has authorized the use of taxpayer funds to help the effort to have the constitutional amendment invalidated.
