Dupree students tour water facilities

Water is required for life and the care and use of it has been a hot topic in the news. Water knowledge is also important in the Dupree High School Environmental Science class taught by Mark Peacock.

Twenty-eight seniors will receive diplomas at the 111th annual commencement exercises at Timber Lake High School on Saturday, May 9. The ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. MT at the old gym.Student speakers from the Class of 2026 will be Braylen Hansen and Presley Goldade.

Topic garners eight SD NewsMedia awards

The Timber Lake Topic received eight awards at the South Dakota NewsMedia Association’s annual conference Friday and Saturday, May 1-2, including second place in the coveted General Excellence division, the highest honor a newspaper can receive in the SD Better NewsMedia competition.
