Community steps up to help Nevaeh

Once again, the local community has an opportunity to help one of its own.Nevaeh Fernandez, a sophomore at Timber Lake High School, has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Her treatment will involve travel to Fargo, ND for an undetermined time.

Highway project now underway on Hwys. 34 and 73

Work began Monday, May 6 on an asphalt milling project on S.D. Highway 34 from three miles east of White Owl to the Ziebach County Line. Milling will then move to S.D. Highway 73 from Faith south 14 miles.Traffic will be reduced to one lane with flaggers and a pilot car during construction.

Dupree FFA hosts banquet

The Dupree High School FFA had their end of year banquet and awards on Monday, April 27. As guests arrived, they were treated to a free supper served by the FFA members. Shortly after the meal, advisors Cassy Woodward and Susie De La Rosa led the event.

TL Summer Rec program kicks off on May 19

The Timber Lake Summer Recreation program gets underway on May 19 and in addition to tee-ball there will be soccer and a STEAM Camp for children in grades PreK through fifth grade (next school year).Soccer is being offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from May 19 to June 4.
