McLaughlin man sentenced 34 mo. in federal prison

A 25-year-old McLaughlin man was sentenced to 34 months in prison last week after being convicted in U.S. District Court of assault resulting in serious bodily injury. The sentencing took place last Monday, Oct. 21, by Judge Charles B. Kornmann.

City bids come in above estimates

All the bids submitted for the Timber Lake City water and sewer projects came in above the engineers’ estimates. The city board opened the sealed bids at a special meeting on Monday, October 28.

Wakpala man convicted for burglary and assault

A 35-year-old Wakpala man has been found guilty of burglary and two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon following a three-day federal jury trial in Aberdeen.Francis Lee DuBray, was found guilty last Thursday, Oct. 24.

Associated with the University of South Dakota College of Fine Arts, the Black Hills Playhouse takes engaging and innovative arts programs to schools and communities across South Dakota.
