Marchell Phillips visited Sandi and Shianne Dahlgren in Spearfish this weekend. While Marchell was there, she drove through the canyons to see fall colors.This weekend, Jared and Mason Hollenbeck and Kyrie Lemburg traveled to Alexandria, MN to visit David and Paige Karow.

A new gift shop was opened recently in the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Cultural Center in Eagle Butte. The store, located just off the main lobby, is dedicated to the late Margaret Eaglestaff, a longtime teacher and volunteer at the cultural center who passed away in 2022.

Parents want data to back up 4-day school week proposal

A 90-minute community input meeting hosted by Timber Lake School teachers last Thursday, Oct. 31, to gauge interest in switching to a 4-day school week left dozens of parents and community members with more questions than answers.

Timber Lake board puts water tower replacement on hold

The Timber Lake City Board, at a special meeting on Friday, November 1, agreed to move ahead with the water and sewer projects that they have funding for and to postpone the new water tower.
