Dupree Elementary School has begun a variation on the Student of the Month concept by choosing the students of the month through the use of Lakota values.

The library was visited by a variety of characters for a Halloween book reading and a spider craft with the TL Head Start kids and staff.A book discussion was held on October 21 on the book The Waiting by Cathy LaGrow. If you have any suggestions on a book for a discussion let us know.

The All-State Chorus concert was held in Sioux Falls on November 2. It was conducted by Michael Hanawalt, the Associate Professor of Choral Conducting and Music Education at Florida State University. Timber Lake singers participating were (L-R) Jess Ridl, Maria Scherer, Ameriah Eagleman, and Anna Kraft.

Junior Kindergarten students in Mrs. Schweitzer’s class are taking time to work in sensory bins. Each of the bins are filled with different items that the students can manipulate, use, and explore. The materials are to help stimulate a child’s senses.
