No parade at Days of 1910

The Timber Lake Rodeo Association has decided not to have a parade at this year’s Days of 1910 Celebration, which is set for July 25-28. The TLRA had previously considered having a parade every year but later decided to return to the every-other-year schedule.

Corson County cops on the lookout for cows

Three different agencies are investigating a report of lost or stolen cattle from a ranch just west of Mobridge. The Corson County Sheriff ’s Office, South Dakota Brand Board, and Standing Rock Tribal Police are investigating the disappearance of around two dozen cattle from the Darell Smith ranch.

Library to host book discussion

The Dewey County Library will host a book discussion on Wednesday, May 29 with local author Johny Weber on her latest novel, Mountain Ranch. The book is the third installment of Weber’s Mountain Series. Set in the latter half of the 1800’s, this story continues to transport readers to the untamed wilderness and everchanging American west as it continues the saga of the Welles family and Twin Peaks Ranch.

Horizon Health Care to host first-ever Bull Bash

The Horizon Health Foundation is excited to announce the Cowboys Care Bull Bash, a fundraising event to keep care close to home for the communities of Bison, Eagle Butte, Faith, Isabel, and McIntosh. The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 13 at the Isabel Rodeo Grounds.
