A year after Meals on Wheels Western South Dakota discontinued senior meal service in and around Dewey County, the South Dakota Dept. of Human Services has contracted Madison-based Inter-Lakes Community Action Partnership to revive the program.

Braylen Hansen is tackling cancer with positivity, strength and his upbeat personality.In September, the Timber Lake High School senior was diagnosed with nodular sclerosis classic Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a type of cancer that affects the lymph nodes in the immune system.

A small congregation with a big reachLike most church congregations, New Hope Church in Timber Lake came from small, humble beginnings. In 1991, Pastor John Anderson started a small home church of four families in Timber Lake.

Apples, sunflowers and pumpkins are some of the fall science projects that Mrs. Keller's kindergarten class has been working on. They have been learning the lifecycles of these plants. They compared their height to the sunflower and investigated a sunflower with tweezers and magnifying glasses.
