Corson Co. senior citizen is first S.D. influenza death

The South Dakota Dept. of Health announced last Friday, Dec. 6, that the first influenza death of the 2024-25 flu season was a Corson County resident over the age of 65 who passed early last week.“Influenza can be a very serious illness,” said Dr. Joshua Clayton, State Epidemiologist for the Dept.
