The Dewey County Commission recently awarded a $423,000 contract for an addition to the Dewey County Courthouse to First Dakota Enterprises of Ft. Pierre. The new addition to the northwest corner of the building will provide sufficient storage of county records for many years.

Timber Lake city sewer project starts, stops

Following a pre-construction meeting with engineers and contractors on March 10, the Timber Lake City Board, at its regular meeting that evening, approved documents to get the water and wastewater projects started.However, one of the contractors, Municipal Pipe Tool Co.

Isabel Community Center project receives sizeable contribution from former resident

A former resident of Isabel, Firesteel and Timber Lake surprised Isabel community officials earlier this month with a $10,000 contribution and instructions to use the funds toward replacing and updating the heating cooling system in the building.

United States Attorney Alison J. Ramsdell announced last Thursday, March 6, that a 34-year-old Denver, CO woman convicted of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance was sentenced to serve more than two decades behind bars.
