NWAS Academic Olympics scheduled for April 9

Northwest Area Schools ACADEMIC OLYMPICS is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, April 9 at Bison School. Students from the following schools plan to participate: Bison, Dupree, Eagle Butte, Faith, Harding County, Lemmon, McIntosh, and Timber Lake.

Missouri Breaks Industrial Research Inc. in Eagle Butte will host its seventh annual Wellness and Research in Indian Country symposium on Tuesday, April 15, at the Oglala Lakota College Center in Eagle Butte.The one-day event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Multiple candidates seeking TL, Dupree School Board positions

Recent decisions by the Timber Lake and Dupree school boards regarding four-day school weeks are believed to be the reason why both districts have a large number of candidates seeking seats in upcoming elections.
