Timber Lake’s Tucker Kraft and Jackrabbits head into FCS playoffs

The South Dakota State University (SDSU) Jackrabbits kicked the goahead field goal with just over five minutes remaining and outlasted North Dakota 24-21 in the regular season finale for both teams on Saturday, Nov. 20.

Tucker Kraft, a 2018 graduate of Timber Lake High School, broke open a 7-7 tie just before halftime when the 6-5, 255-pound tight end pulled in a middle screen near the line of scrimmage and rumbled 23 yards before diving over the goal line. He finished with two catches for 32 yards.

SDSU, 8-3, faces UC-Davis, 8-3, on Saturday, Nov. 27, in the first round of the Division I FCS football playoffs.

Kraft led all Missouri Valley Football Conference tight ends in receptions this season and is second on the SDSU roster in receiving with 51 catches for 596 yards and six touchdowns.
