Wayneva White Eagle

March 21, 1980 – December 16, 2025_____________

Wayneva White Eagle, 45, a Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe member of Seattle, WA and Minneapolis, MN, entered the spirit world, Tuesday, December 16, 2025, in Minneapolis.

Funeral services were held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at CRST Bingo Hall at Eagle Butte. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery at LaPlant.

Wayneva White Eagle was born on March 21, 1980, in Mobridge to Wayne White Eagle and Luvenia Dancing Bull.

Wayneva was a loving, funny, and positive person who had a natural gift for making people laugh. She was always a go-getter, approaching life with determination and optimism. Her warm personality and sense of humor drew people to her, and she left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Growing up, Wayneva was active and energetic. She was a member of the swim team at the Boys and Girls Club in Minneapolis, where she developed a love for staying active and trying new things. In her quieter moments, she enjoyed experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen and occasionally reading. Above all else, Wayneva loved talking about her children and took great pride in them. Family was always at the center of her life.

She is survived by her mother, Luvenia Dancing Bull; sisters Wayneen White Eagle, Valneta Hairy Chin, and Charla White Eagle; children Raina Schmidt, Aaliyah Marie, Arianna Anderson, Francisco Osorio Jr., Howaste Osorio, Rogelio Osorio, and Catherine; and many extended family members and friends.

Wayneva was preceded in death by her father, Wayne White Eagle Sr.; brothers Wayne White Eagle Jr. and Taurino Hairy Chin; and son Rico Schmidt.

Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg was in charge of arrangements.
