Robert “Bob” Mollman

June 13, 1948 – June 28, 2024

Robert “Bob” Mollman, 76, of Watauga passed away suddenly at Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND on Friday, June 28, 2024.

Mass of Christian Burial for Bob was held Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Watauga with Fr. Adam Hofer officiating and burial with military honors at the St. Michael’s Cemetery in Watauga.

Bob was born June 13, 1948, to Dorus and Margaret Mollman. He was number 10 of 13 children: Wally, Joyce, Betty, Jim, Dave, Bill, Eleanor, Kathy, Joe, Bob, Greg, Frank, and Ray.

Bob spent his days on his ranch near Watauga. For 53 wonderful years, he was the devoted husband to Jonabeth. Together, they built a strong, faith filled, loving family, raising five children: Page, Bowen (Sonya), Blaine (Cassie), Preston (Mandy), and Molly (Bryan).

Bob was a proud grandfather to 18 grandchildren: Dylan, Max, Tell, Abe, Clara, Joanna, Brady, Bailie, Tripp, Timry, Keston, Carlie, Karissa, McKinnley, Lauryn,( Madalynn), Jonnalyn, and Lores. He cherished each one and took immense joy in watching them grow, sharing with them his love for the Lord, family, friends, cattle and horses.

Bob’s life was a testament to his faith and hard work, which lead to him and Jonabeth receiving the South Dakota American Quarter Horse Legacy Award in 2023. His strong spirit, generosity, and unwavering dedication to his family, friends, and community left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

He had a unique gift of gathering people together, making people laugh, turning friends into family, and brightening the lives of everyone he met. His friends and loved ones will remember his stories, work ethic, strength, wisdom, and sense of humor.
