The funeral service for Paula Jo Hinckley, 67, of Glencross was held Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery at Mobridge under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home.

Paula passed away Monday, September 7, 2020 at Avera Eureka Health Care Center in Eureka.

Paula was born to Ira David Mentzer, Sr. and Josephine (Dekok) Mentzer on November 12, 1952 in Sioux City, IA. She graduated from Boulder High School in Colorado. She lived at Glencross and married Phillip Hinckley. They farmed on the Liberty Ranch for many years.

Paula enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing and farming/ranching her entire life. David, her nephew, spent summers with her and her mother also stayed with her for a time.

Paula had many different dogs including Buddy and Pepper. She enjoyed woodworking and going to craft fairs to sell her projects. She enjoyed the Pheasant Forever and Ducks Unlimited banquets. Paula also enjoyed time with her

Paula also enjoyed time with her special friend and partner, Scott Enright.

She is survived by her partner, Scott Enright of Timber Lake; siblings Joan McBride of Tampa, FL, Donald Peterson of Ponca, NE, Carol Kunkel of Sioux City, IA, Ira D. Mentzer, Jr. (Junior) of Ponca, NE, Peggy (Scott) Nash of Rapid City, Donald (Dawn) Hinckley of Gettysburg, Mary (Bruce) Marango of Williamsburg, DE, and Kathy (Alan) Haak of Huron; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Phillip Hinckley; sisters-in-law, JoAnn Mentzer and Sherry Petersen; brothers-in-law, John Kunkel and William Hinckley; and her dogs Buddy and Pepper.
