L’Lyn Paige Bowker

L’Lyn Paige Bowker, 58, of Eagle Butte passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City.

Funeral services were on March 13, 2026, at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Eagle Butte. Burial followed in St. Paul’s Episcopal Cemetery at LaPlant.

L’Lyn Paige Bowker was born on October 20, 1967, to Johnny Malcolm Bowker and Ethelyn Noisy Hawk, the eldest of six children. She grew up in Eagle Butte and attended grade school there, then high school, and graduated from Dietrich, ID. She took the Dietrich High School to state in track and took first place in shotput. She lived with her foster parents, the Astle family, and her foster sister, Sherrie Astle.

After graduation, Paige moved back home, then later relocated to Minneapolis, MN, where she worked at the Target Center Stadium for several years before returning to Eagle Butte for the rest of her life. In 2010, she adopted her son, Quade McCoy Bowker. Paige dedicated herself to raising and supporting Quade until her untimely passing.

She worked in various roles with the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe and later started her own business, Lunchbox by Paige. Cooking and baking were her passions, which she shared with her nieces and nephews. Paige was always a dependable source for advice on cooking, and she had a big heart that she freely shared with others.

Paige worked as the office manager at Mni Mart. She was a happy, strong, and family-oriented person and served as the matriarch of the Bowker family.

Paige is survived by her siblings, Rhea (Jesse) Hall, Bonnie (Perry) LaClaire, Connie (Frankie) Cavanaugh, Joni Lynn Bowker, LeVohn Sargent, and Clinton Sargent.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother John C. Bowker; special niece Jerie L’lyn Cavanaugh; grandparents Leonard C. Noisy Hawk, Thelma Scares The Hawk, Beatrice Bowker and Benjamin Bowker; grandpas Clardy Nelson Garfield, Gilford Noisy Hawk, Everette Noisy Hawk, Herbert Scares The Hawk, and Richard Scares the Hawk; uncles Dalton Noisy Hawk and Barry Noisy Hawk; and aunt Elgene Noisy Hawk.

Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg was in charge of arrangements.
