Mass of Christian Burial for Jack D. Collins, 73, of Bismarck, ND will be at 10 a.m. MT, Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Trail City. Inurnment will be at the Trail City Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. CT, Monday at Kesling Funeral Home.
Jack passed away March 17, 2025 at his home.
Jack Dall Collins was born in Mobridge on July 7, 1951to Norbert and Bea Collins. He was baptized at St. Joseph’s Church on July 22. He made his first communion July 5, 1959, in Trail City with confirmation on July 8, 1963, in Holy Rosary Church.
Jack attended grade school in Trail City, attended high school in Mobridge and graduated from Hoven.
He raised Hereford cattle, from there he worked for the railroad and retired. Jack and his best friend and cousin Barry Bender talked every day.
Barry passed on December 29, 2024; they had great times together. Jack would help the Benders with branding and working cattle. He would meet at the NFR with cousins.
Jack is survived by his sisters JoAnn (Olan) Wendt and Judy Hintz, sisterin- law Pat Collins, and many nieces and nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents Norbert and Bea, brothers Jim and Jerry, niece Colleen Rohle, brother-in-law Dennis Hintz.
