Funeral services for Rachel D. Landis were held on October 19, 2026 at Zion Lutheran Church of Mobridge. Interment was at the Trail City Cemetery. She passed away on October 12, 2026 at the Mobridge Regional Hospital.
Rachel Doris was born on December 31, 1938 in Mobridge to Alfred and Alvina Dabbert. She grew up and attended country school in the Bowdle/Roscoe area where she graduated from the 8th grade.
Rachel worked on the family farm until moving to Minnesota for a time and then returning to Mobridge. She married Herbert Emil Landis on December 17, 1960.
To this union four sons were born: Kelly Dean, Steven Philip, Todd Alfred and Mark Edward. Rachel worked for many years in Mobridge at Gibson’s and Ben Franklin.
Rachel was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; son Kelly; and brother-in-law Larry Naasz. She is survived by her sons, Steve, Todd and Mark; sister Betty Naasz; brothers Al (Georgene) Dabbert and Donnie (Diane) Dabbert.
