Onnalecia Swan, 15, of Eagle Butte passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025, in Eagle Butte.
Funeral services were Friday, November 14, 2025, at CRST Bingo Hall, Eagle Butte. Burial followed in St. Andrew’s Episcopal Cemetery, Cherry Creek.
Onnalecia “Onna’ Charlize Swan was born on November 29, 2009, in Eagle Butte to Johnny Blanco and Heather Swan. She was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had attended Theodore Jamerson Middle School and C-EB Jr. High School, and she participated in numerous school activities such as basketball, volleyball, and football games.
Onna loved to make everyone laugh, she always lit up every room she walked into. Onna was bold and had a unique style. She loved spending time with her siblings and her nieces and nephews.
She also loved walking around and taking pictures, and attending school home games. Onna made a lot of friends along the way. She was very empathetic as a person. Onna loved helping her oldest sister cook even if she just helped by mixing the food and making her laugh. She loved being outside and living in the moment.
Those left to mourn her passing are her mother Heather Swan; siblings Aria (Levi), Avya, Johnny Jr, Sean, and Avaylia; aunts Ariana (Josh), and Camielle; uncles Trevor (Thomasa), Francis Swan, and Orby Swan; and many friends and relatives.
Welcoming her into the spirit world are her grandparents, Nola Lee Swan and Troy Dean Straighthead; aunt Alicia Rae Straighthead; sibling Jake William Morrison II; greatgrandparents Manuel James Swan II, Angeline Swan, Francis Straighthead, and Lavern Counting Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg was in charge of arrangements.
