Frances Elizabeth Rollason, 77, of Questa, NM passed away on October 3, 2025, in Denver, CO.
Frances was born on March 27, 1948 in Cleveland, OH to Lawrence Boyd Stevens Chambers and Florence Mary Tyler.
Frances dedicated her life to education. She began her teaching career in the small town of Cerro, NM. In 1981, she moved to Isabel where she continued to teach for 28 years and raised her children. She returned to their home in Questa in 2019.
An avid reader and a passionate gardener, Frances recently discovered a new joy in ceramics. She held rich and fond memories from all the places she lived and the communities she served.
She is survived by her husband, David, of Questa; her son James, a vascular sonographer who lives in Janesville, WI with his wife Emily and daughter Priya; and Miriam, a physician assistant in the emergency room in Ft. Defiance, AZ.
Cremation took place three days following her death. A memorial service will be held in New Mexico on November 8, 2025.
