J’Lorah Fredricka-Jean Dupris, stillborn baby daughter of Jre’Ven Dupris and Addison Baker of Eagle Butte, passed away August 22, 2025, at Avera St. Mary’s Hospital, Pierre.
Funeral services were on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Eagle Butte. Burial was in <D> Cemetery at Iron Lightning.
J’Lorah Fredricka-Jean was born on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Avera Hospital in Pierre. Her siblings are J’Lyah Vianna-Fredrika, Jayeten Owen-LeRoi, J’Reeme Wilmer-Fredrick Jaaken Jayme-Grant, Aiden Baker, Beverly Baker, Aila Baker, Tobias Baker and Kinsley Baker. She is also survived by her maternal grandmothers, Memoree Dupris and Codi Dupris; and great-grandmother Gloria Fire Thunder; her paternal grandmother Adelaide Baker and is a daughter of the Prairie Chicken clan of the Hidatsa Nation and the Mnicoujou/Itazipco Lakota of the Cheyenne River Sioux. Maternal great-grandparents are Gloria Fire Thunder and Kenton Thompson.
I’Lorah is also survived by aunts Tylaina, Justelle, RhyLyn, Dannika, Bree and Jaymen, and uncles Brexton, Daunte, Ryder, Stockten, Saxxten, Donald, Adrian and Teeg.
She was preceded in death by great-grandfathers Wilmer Fred Dupris and Gary Bad Warrior Sr., grandfathers Jayme Dupris and Michael Bad Warrior; great-grandmother Rita Yellow Lodge; greatgreat- grandparents Leroy Sr. and Toni Meeter LaPlante, Wilmar and Cordelia Iron Lightning Dupris, Oscar Bad Warrior and Maethal Moran.
