  • Bear Creek bull rider Stran Smith has been turning in some strong performances on the county fair rodeo circuit so far this summer, finishing in the money at events in Ellendale, ND, and Fertile, MN, last seekend. Smith scored 64 points on a Bailey Pro Rodeo bull named Charlie Sheen to claim second place at the Dickey County Fair and posted a 77 point effort on NorEaster from Triple R Rodeo to finish third overall at the Polk County Fair.     Teenager Mark Sandquist of Trail City was crowned bareback bronc riding champion at the 2025 Boss Cowman Rodeo held Thursday through Sunday, July 10-13 in Lemmon.Sandquist, a freshman member of the Bismarck State College rodeo team, was the only bareback rider with a qualified ride, scoring 66 points to take home the title and a $473 paycheck for his effort.Other area competitors ...
