Sharon LeCompte of Ridgeview takes a close look at the three Tucker Kraft trees at the Dewey County Courthouse, where the second annual Christmas Tree Contest is underway. County offices are vying for bragging rights while the money raised from cash voting will go to the Dewey County Library. As of Monday, $217.58 had been contributed. Last year the contest raised $706.36 for the Timber Lake Museum. The creativity on display is worth the stop. Voting continues until December 29.
