Mass of Christian Burial for Patina “Rosey” Brown, 31, of Mandan, ND were held August 13, 2024 at the Catholic Church in Kenel. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge.
Rosey passed away August 2, 2024, at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, ND.
She grew up in Kenel, with her grandparents Aleta Martin and Ronald Free Sr. She received her baptism and first communion at the Catholic Church. She then spent her days with her son, Noah, and nephew, Brayden in Mandan where she resided with her special someone, Jade Marshall.
She enjoyed working at United Tribes Technical College as a security guard and going to school there, majoring in Criminal Justice. Rosey was going to be starting work at the North Dakota State Penitentiary.
Rosey is survived by her significant other/partner/spouse, Jade Marshall, formerly of Timber Lake; son Noah Marshall; nephew/son Brayden Brown; mother Patricia Brown; brothers Kaelon Brown, William Left Hand and Andrew Brown; sisters Carol Free, Stacie Little Bear, Shana Left Hand, Kateri Brown, Megan Agard, and Hope Brown; aunt Marsha Goben; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Mark Free Sr.; grandmothers Aleta Martin and Joyce Hollow; grandfather Ronald Free; aunt Adele White; sisters Brittany Free, Camilla Brown and Saydee Brown; and brothers Mark Free and Derrick Brown.
