Evelyn R. Veaux (“Tašíyagmuka Ská Wi - White Meadowlark Woman”),
90, of LaPlant entered the Spirit World on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Medicine Wheel Village at Eagle Butte.
A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Rooks Funeral Services at Star Nation Center at Eagle Butte. Burial will follow at the Veaux Family Cemetery at LaPlant.
Evelyn is survived by sons Herbert LaVaux of Denton, TX, Tiokasin LaVeaux of Stone Ridge, NY, Terrence Veaux of Kyle, Leon Veaux, Steve Bartlett and Clinton Bartlett of Eagle Butte; brother Mike Bowker of LaPlant;
38 grandchildren, 64-great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
