Heath B. LeBeau

July 15, 1974 – July 8, 2024

Heath B. LeBeau, 49, of Rapid City and formerly of Eagle Butte passed away Monday, July 8, 2024, at his residence.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte High School Auditorium. Burial followed in the Congregational Cemetery, LaPlant.

Heath Brandon LeBeau was born on July 15, 1974 to Eva Gilbert and Greg LeBeau. His early life included his brothers Rocklyn, Gideon, and Echoe; they were known as “The Four Brothers.”

Brandon lived the majority of his life on the Cheyenne River Sioux Nation where he attended grade school through high school in Eagle Butte. Basketball found him at an early age, and he would eventually let the game consume his life. This love took him to the United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck, ND, where he would sharpen and hone his skills to a high level. His specialty was the deep set shot. Through the game he loved, he made a lot of friends and created a lot of great war stories that he would love to talk about for hours.

While on the circuit, Brandy loved, courted the young ladies, and fathered children. He worked to take care of them, whether it was finding work building bridges or managing hotels. He would often offer his home and resources to friends and family that needed shelter or resources, and he would always encourage them with a few kind words.

He is survived by his woman of 18 years, Jen Red Bear; sons, Creighton and “Poo” LeBeau; three daughters, Alexius, Alana, and Reegen LeBeau; brothers Rocklyn, Echoe Johnson, Gideon Mendoza, Hoksila White Mountain, Kyle, J.R and Michael LeBeau; sisters KayKay and Robin LeBeau; and his parents, Eva and Greg.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Kyla Red Bear.

Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg was in charge of arrangements.
