Faye Marie McClellan

October 14, 1942 – July 6, 2024

Faye Marie (O’Leary) McClellan was born October 14, 1942, in Walworth County and passed away on July 6, 2024, in Clark County, WA.

Faye grew up on her family farm northeast of Timber Lake, not far from Firesteel. Her mother was her 1st grade teacher at Little Oak School. She went to school with her cousins Jim, Clarence, and Galen Smolik. She talked often of her aunts Anna, Esther, Estelle and how much she enjoyed her time with them in South Dakota until her family moved to Washington State.

Faye met her husband Roscoe in their sophomore year at Battle Ground, WA. Three years later they got married at Hamilton Airforce Base in California. They eventually moved to Hockinson in Brush Prairie, WA and made it their home for the past 46 years.

Faye did a lot of volunteering and worked as a realtor in the early 90s. She belonged to local and professional art associations. She learned from Bill Alexander, who taught Bob Ross. She made the long drive with her girls to Timber Lake for the 100 year anniversary and to visit loved ones. In her family and her paintings her memory will live on.

She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband Roscoe who celebrated their 61-year anniversary this year; her brothers, Terry and Sam; her sisters, Lorna and Mary; her children, Bill, Terry, Tricia and M’Linda; and grandchildren Ben, Margaret, Mary, Joseph, Wally, Alex and Haley. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Florence, sister Wanda and brothers Tim and Snooky.
