Shadehill monument mystery to be revealed April 27 in Nebraska
John Neihardt’s “altar of courage” to the subject of one of his poems - Hugh Glass - was removed from the Shadehill Reservoir last fall. The contents of a time capsule said to be inside the monument will be revealed later this month.

After gaining federal permission, the family of a famed poet/ author in October last year removed a small monument from its site along the Shadehill Reservoir south of Lemmon and plans to unveil the contents of a time capsule supposedly left inside later this month.
