School board okays added improvements at Doug Kraft Field

The Timber Lake School Board last week approved $85,000 in concrete work for improvements behind the grandstand at Doug Kraft Field, but stopped short of dropping more than $100,000 to chemically-treat and re-stripe the track.

Tribal authorities investigating death of 9-year-old

The Cheyenne River Police are investigating the death of a nineyear- old Eagle Butte boy who was found deceased beside his bicycle on Saturday, May 18, with injuries that may have contributed to his passing. The child was reportedly under the guardianship of a grandparent.

TL City Board reorganizes

The Timber Lake City Board seated a new member, voted to lease city property, and heard about a new community website at two meetings last Wednesday, May 8. Tanner Kraft took the oath of office for a two-year term to which he was recently elected.

Bridge deck work underway on Hwy. 65 and Hwy. 212
