$200 Club winners

The Sacred Heart Parish of Dupree held their monthly 200 Club drawings on Saturday evening, October19, following Holy Mass and potluck supper in the church hall.

Isabel American Legion Auxiliary reports on activities

Unit 120 American Legion Auxiliary met on Sept. 22 at the UCC Church. Vice-president Cindy Marshall brought the meeting to order. Roll call was taken with the following members present: Cindy Marshall, Teri Gayer, Sandy Hoff, Judy Gifford, Amy Taylor, and Cheryl Boldt.

School board seeks input on proposed 4-day week

The Timber Lake School Board last week gave a group of staff members its approval to continue exploring a potential switch to a four-day school week. A survey will be sent to parents and community members who request it with a community input meeting to be scheduled next month.

Youth Project to host Harvest Festival Dinner

The Cheyenne River Youth Project will host its 12th annual Harvest Festival Dinner at its Eagle Butte campus on Friday, Oct. 18.Held in conjunction with the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe’s Indian Child Welfare program, the free public event is scheduled for 6-8 p.m.
