The Timber Lake School Board accepted the school calendar for 202526 and dealt with several personnel matters - including staff negotiations - at its meeting last Wednesday, March 12.The first day of school will be August 18, 2025 and classes will dismiss at noon on the final day, May 15, 2026.

A badly decomposed body found by a hiker near Hill City two weeks ago has been identified as a young woman last seen in Eagle Butte early last fall.The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office said the body was identified as 21-year-old Sahela Sangrait.
