Local businesses will be taking some time off for the upcoming holidays.The Topic will not publish a paper the last week of the year, so this is the last issue for 2024. The first issue of 2025 will be January 2, and the deadline for that issue will be Monday, December 30.

McIntosh School principal’s teaching license suspended

The teaching license of a McIntosh School principal who pled guilty to a misdemeanor charge of theft while employed at a school district in North Dakota has been suspended until next summer.The teaching certificate of Scott Klaudt will be suspended until June 30, 2025 as part of a plea agreement.

Rounds rep visiting area communities

G.P Carmichael, representing US Sen. Mike Rounds, will meet with the public in Timber Lake, Dupree and McIntosh this week.He will be at the Ziebach County Courthouse in Dupree on Thursday, December 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
