TL School Board deals with personnel, policies

The Timber Lake School Board made several personnel moves and updated some policies during its regular monthly meeting last Wednesday, April 16, including transferring Danae Paxton from her elementary principal position to a one-year Preschool teaching position.

At first glance, one might consider Ben Mareska a typical 10-yearold boy. But look again.The son of Brent and Melanie Mareska and a fourth grader at Timber Lake Elementary School, Ben enjoys school, videos and playing games like most kids his age do. But he’s also an accomplished chess player.

Coloring Contest Winner

Dupree Elementary first graders participated in the “Keep Poisons In A Space Far, Far Away!” coloring contest which was sponsored by Sanford Health-Sanford USD Medical Center. Kade Longbrake with teacher Corinna Thompson, was chosen as one of their 20 winners.
