A Parade resident is circulating a petition seeking a ballot measure on relocating the Dewey County seat from Timber Lake to Eagle Butte.
Carl Petersen, 23, said he launched the effort for a couple of reasons, including making the county seat more centrally-located for the convenience of all residents.
