Glenham barrel racer Summer Kosel broke her own record for the fastest time at Cheyenne Frontier Days and was on track to win the championship, only to have Sue Smith of Blackfoot, ID, beat her time to set a new record and claim the 2023 championship. Local saddle bronc riders Shorty Garrett of Dupree and Cole Elshere of Faith also advanced to the finals, with Garrett placing fifth in the finals…
