Gubernatorial primary run-off set for July 28

South Dakota Republicans will elect their nominee for Governor in a special primary election on Tuesday, July 28. This is the first gubernatorial primary runoff in the state’s history.

Incumbent Larry Rhoden and challenger Toby Doeden, the top two vote getters in the June 2 fourway primary, face off in the contest. The winner will face Democrat Dan Ahlers in the November 3 general election.
