Chuck and Marsha Aberle spent Thanksgiving with Jonathan, Terry, Michael, Jordan, and Ella from Spearfish and Rod Harlow from Mobridge. On Friday, they all were together at Chuck and Marsha’s house along with Justin, Carissa, and Amaya Aberle. On Saturday, Tim Bollinger joined them all for supper.

Timber Lake students took part in Rock Your Mocs on Nov. 20. Established in 2011, the event celebrates Native American and Indigenous people. Students are encouraged to swear moccasins, take a photo and post it on social media. Second graders painted buffalo on canvas.

As a rheumatologist, I often get the question, “What do you do?” According to my kids, their mom does “something with joints.” At the conclusion of patient visits, when I propose a diagnosis such as polymyalgia rheumatica or PMR, I often hear, “What is that?
